DIY Dry Shampoo

The term "dry" shampoo is a little misleading... it is nothing like the aerosol cans you buy at the store. This is a liquid mixture that is just like spaying water on your hair with a spray bottle. BUT! don't let that scare you away! It literally takes just a few minutes to use and it leaves your hair feeling clean. At least for me, it makes my hair feel cleaner than after I shampoo in the shower! Crazy huh? It's because the alcohol and cornstarch ingredients help remove the buildup (like hairspray) on your strands. You may have seen this recipe online before, I'm posting this because it is soooo worth the try! So, here it is...

Ingredients:

1 tbs Cornstarch
1 tbs Rubbing Alcohol
4 tbs Water

Directions: Mix ingredients together in a bowl or cup that will be easy to pour from, pour mixture into spray bottle, shake well -VOLA!- spray, blow dry and style as normal.

Tip #1 - You will see the cornstarch caked to the bottom of the bottle after it sets for a while, simply shake well until cornstarch is mixed again before each use.

Tip #2 - After spraying your roots, comb through hair.

Tip #3 - Check your ears/face for any white spots from wondering droplets. (my boyfriend and I were about to go out to dinner, while walking out the door he says "babe, what is that white junk in your ears?" hehe!)
